The quality slider controls compression for lossy formats like JPEG, WebP, and AVIF. Lower quality produces smaller file sizes ideal for web performance, while higher quality preserves detail for print or archival use. PNG is lossless, so the slider has no effect when PNG is selected as output.

AVIF encoding via the Canvas API is currently supported in Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome, Edge, and Opera. Firefox and Safari may not support AVIF output through this method. If conversion fails, try a different output format.
